Saucony Liberty ISO Scores Runner’s World International Hotlist Award

19 November 2018

After being named Best Debut by Runner’s World in the publication’s 2018 Spring Shoe Review, the Liberty ISO has again been honored – this time with the Runner’s World International Hotlist Award for 2018. Selected by the editors of 18 editions of Runner’s World around the globe, the Hotlist award was presented to Saucony at the Runner’s World International Shoe Awards in New York City in early November.

“The design brief for the Liberty ISO was to create a lively and responsive ride with a stealthy supportive edge,” said Anne Cavassa, president of Saucony. “Back-to-back wins for the Liberty ISO reflect that the Saucony team did just that, delivering a running experience that’s unlike anything before.”

The team at Runner’s World agreed that runners are always on the hunt for a better running experience: “Shoes are a runner’s most important piece of equipment; our shoe reviews are designed to help a runner determine what’s best for their individual needs,” said Jeff Dengate, runner-in-chief for Runner’s World.

“Sometimes support can feel sloppy−but not here,” said the Runner’s World review of the Liberty ISO in the publication’s 2018 Spring Shoe Review. “If you love the Saucony Freedom, the Liberty is similar but with added stability.”

Australian Triathlete, Tim Rea reviewed the Liberty ISO and echoed Runner’s World’s sentiments, finding “[there was] more room to move [than the Freedom ISO] but still solid, great stability and lightweight.”

Highlights of the Saucony Liberty ISO

  • Built for Energy Return: With a 4mm offset, the Liberty ISO is built to engage the runner’s natural energy return system. Equipped with a full-length EVERUN™ midsole and EVERUN topsole, the Liberty ISO provides the ultimate cushioning experience for runners, dispersing impact while delivering a springy push-off.

  • Stealthy Stability: A medial TPU guidance frame and reinforced TRI-FLEX™ crystal rubber outsole subtly counter excess motion, keeping each step quick and comfortable.

  • Secure Fit: An ISOFIT™ dynamic upper adapts to the shape and motion of the foot.
