Saucony Australia’s Top 10 Running Tracks

To celebrate the launch of the Ride 10, we asked you to nominate your favorite Running Tracks. The votes are in and here are Saucony Australia’s Top 10 Running Tracks as voted by you. How many tracks have you run?

7Track #10 –  Overland Track – Tasmania.

The Overland Track is one of Australia’s most famous hiking tracks, situated in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Tasmania.  This is a highly boutique and demanding 65km trail running experience not for the faint hearted.

8-2Track #9 –  The Fernleigh Track – Newscastle, NSW.

The 15 km track follows a disused coal haul rail line between Adamstown and Belmont, providing a peaceful and scenic route through beautiful bushland and wetland areas.

4Track #8 –  Lake Burley Griffin – Canberra, ACT.

Depending on how you tackle the 40km shoreline you might pass the National Gallery, National Library and High Court. The relatively flat track has amazing views, paved paths and multiple bridges.

6Track #7 –  Three Capes – Tasmania.

A truly breathtaking trail at the edge of Tasmania. Enjoy the rugged natural beauty as you roar out over the raging Southern Ocean from atop The Blade!

1Track #6 – Long Reef Headland Run – Sydney, NSW.

The hilly track offers some challenges on the way up but well worth the views and relaxed vibes. Plus the downward run is nice and easy with a multitude of seaside cafes for a morning coffee.

10Track #5 – Centennial Park – Sydney, NSW.

You can do the 3.6km internal loop that follows the road and runs parallel with the horse-riding track, or follow the park perimeter for a quieter, more peaceful run through a variety of vegetation and wetlands. There are multiple bubblers on route and parking is easy to find.

11Track #4 – Old Beechy Rail Trail – Victoria.

This beautiful and challenging 50km trail follows on the states former narrow gauge railways through a scenic forest, bushland and rolling hills.

9Track #3 – Swan River Loop – Perth.

This iconic track is filled with fantastic views of the city from across the Swan River.  You’ll run along the Perth foreshore, across the Narrows and Victoria Park river fronts.

3Track #2 – River Loop – Brisbane, QLD.

The 6.4km loop along the river front, takes in the City Botanic Gardens and stunning city views along Story Bridge. Plus most of the city’s top watering holes are close by, so you can stop in for a drink when your done.

5Track #1 – The Tan – Melbourne, VIC.

No visit to Melbourne is complete without a run around King’s Domain and the Botanic Gardens. Running is encouraged here and running fast even more so! The gravel track is wide and relatively flat outside the 30mtr Heartbreak hill.
