I am fairly new (20 mths) to running and being 58 I am not as well versed in the technical jargon used by some of the more elite runners, but anyways here goes. I am a road runner and have only done 1 trail run with the fantastic group at The Perth Trail Series. I used old shoes of another brand and was not sure footed at all. After buying these shoes for maybe two trail runs I was given the priviledge to do a wear test with "Saucony" in Perth and for a brand new shoe not worn in at all I was thoroughly impressed. I tried to stick mainly off of the paved surfaces and in sand and grass I felt great with my footing. Even on the path, the comfort and sure-footedness was reassuring. I then weeks later took my own "Peregrin 7's" out in the hills with some pea-gravel and no slipping and spent 3.75 of 21.1km on the soft stuff and NO soreness from my new shoes. Thanks "Saucony" , and when needed again for new shoes, I will be back. Signed , A happy "Guide 10" wearer.
