I am a well and truly seasoned trail runner. For two years a couple of us have been planning to run the entire length (130km) of the Cape to Cape track here in the South West corner of Australia, which is in the list for the top 5 places to walk in the world. Well, I have been using your shoes for a few years now mainly the Kinvara. For the last six months I have been looking out for a shoe which I could use for my long run and was unable to find one until I came across your.............Nomad TR!!!! (in red). I tried it on, it felt good, I bought some!. Jobe done! I used it for all my training sessions leading up to the day, some weeks clocking up 130k's. They still felt really good. Now let me say at this point, if you don't know the cape to cape (c2c) its a complete mixed bag of terrain, nearly all of it following the ocean with stunning scenery and views, beach, plenty of single tracks, some really rocky some sandy, beach, 4wd tracks, beach, rock scrambles up and down, beach, fire roads through Karri forests, through creeks, oh did I mention the beaches!
Well we completed the run in under 24hrs which is what our goal was and raised over 5k for "Youth at risk" and to get to the point...sorry! I had on the same pair of "Nomads from start to finish, in the sand, in the ocean, up and down rocks and over rock climbs. We had a major rain storm in the middle of the night and not one did I loose traction on any of it. When we finally got the end I removed my faithful "Nomads" to find.......nothing!...yep...nothing! not a blister, not a black toenail, not even any chaffing, the shoes were bloody perfect. There were a few of my friends from the running club to greet us at the end and even they couldn't believe how fresh (apart from smelly) my feet looked.
